Gallery 39 for contemporary art was founded in 2007 by Sarah Levy and Sharon Landesman Traub. Since that time the gallery programing oriented towards exploring new conceptual visual thinking.
The gallery mission consists on:
1) Showcasing a select group of young and emerging Israeli artist, offering them a venue to enrich their visual thinking.
2) Exposing the local community to contemporary art, and encouraging its support by collecting it.
3) Creating a think tank for exchanging ideas and thoughts.
4) Tightening the relationships between local artists and international venues, and vise versa.
To accomplish these goals, a series of thematic group show and selected solo shows, accompanied by gallery's publications, are being held through season's length.
How to get there:
Gallery 39 located in the heart of the gallery district in Tel Aviv and can be reached easily by public transportation, or by feet. It is within walking distance to Tel Aviv's museums, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and shopping district.
